For glucose, lipids and a full body panel, yes — 10 to 12 hours, water only. Most other tests need no fasting at all. Your booking confirmation says which applies to you.
Yes, anywhere in the metro area, at no extra charge. Book the slot online and a trained phlebotomist arrives within the hour you choose. Imaging still has to happen at the centre.
Not for routine bloods or health packages — you can book those directly. CT, MRI and anything using contrast do need a referral, because the radiologist has to know what question they are answering.
Tell us before you book. Pacemakers, cochlear implants, aneurysm clips and some older stents are a problem; most modern orthopaedic metalwork is not. We will check the implant card against the manufacturer's MRI rating.
Routine biochemistry and haematology, around 6 hours. X-ray and ultrasound, 1 to 2 hours. CT and MRI, same day. Cultures take 48 to 72 hours because the organism has to grow — nobody can speed that up.
